About Us

Reforestation through Industrial Tree Plantations (ITP) is at the heart of Jawala’s mission. Our goal is to create sustainable ecosystems that provide a long-term supply of timber while reducing pressure on Sabah’s natural forests. At the same time, our efforts are also geared towards long-term environmental resilience, promoting biodiversity and carbon sequestration while supporting local communities with sustainable job opportunities.

Jawala has been listed on the Catalist Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited since June 1, 2018. We are licensed to manage over 11,043 hectares in Sapulut Forest Reserve until end 2115, with the potential for a further 100-year extension. Our forest management practices are fully aligned with sustainable practices for planted forests, adhering to the standards set by the Forest Stewardship Council’s Principle 10, as well as the Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Forest Plantations under the Malaysian Timber Certification Council.
